Dallas, Texas – November 26th, 2012 – Fortress Solutions is pleased to announce the addition to the company’s senior management team of Andy Lovit as Senior Vice President of Global Field Operations and David Deas as Vice President Business Development. Fortress Solutions, an industry leader in the repair, certification and life- cycle management of complex back-office equipment for telecommunication and cable service providers was recently acquired by Galatyn Private Equity and Vspeed Capital in August, 2012.

Andy Lovit joins the company from ATEME, S.A. where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Americas. Mr. Lovit brings more than 25 years of sales leadership experience in the telecommunications and cable equipment markets. Prior to ATEME, S.A., Mr. Lovit served as VP of Worldwide Field Operations at Bivio Networks. In addition, Mr. Lovit also served as SVP of Service Provider Sales for Tandberg Television, which was acquired by Ericsson, and as VP of Global Sales and Field Operations for SkyStream Networks, a pioneer in IPTV head-end solutions which was acquired by Tandberg TV. Mr. Lovit holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
David Deas joins Fortress Solutions as Vice President Business Development. Prior to Fortress, Mr, Deas was Vice President Product Solutions for Huawei Technologies. He joined Huawei after a 36-year career with AT&T. During his tenure at AT&T, Mr. Deas held positions within Southwestern Bell, Bellcore, and SBC, including operations, network, engineering, corporate strategy and AT&T Laboratories where he led the design and certification teams for AT&T’s IPTV service U-verse®. Mr. Deas received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas – Arlington and a Masters of Science degree in Engineering Management from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Deas also attended Cornell University’s Executive Management Program and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and currently holds six U.S. patents.
